The news has shown that in this month of September the unemployment rate for the state is slightly improving. Although it is not by much, comparatively to the rest of the nation, the state of North Carolina is doing well.
Statistical data has shown that many people coming into the state are moving in with the idea of getting a job in mind. In fact it is one of the driving force that makes the population of Charlotte (the capital city) continue to grow.

When attaching a resume to an email, make sure that the filename for the resume is professional. Don’t attached a resume that is not labeled properly. It relates that you are either unorganized or unprofessional – turning them off. Name it like so: “LastnameFirstnameResume.doc”. It is also best to save it as a PDF file so whoever receives it won’t have to worry about document processing software version.

When you are notified through email, you’ll have more chances to be first in line in application since we tend to check our email more regularly.

Charlotte Is a city that is rapidly increasing its population in effect of the financial capability the city has been enjoying. Because even if the greater part of America is downsizing, Charlotte NC is one of those city experiencing growth. Its many sectors in business have raised the quality of living in the area and other cities close to its borders cannot help but notice. As a result, the influx of people moving in to find work or to move closer to a job they already have are some of the most common sight one can see in the city these past few years.
While it can easily be treated more like an adventure, and I’m sure most certainly look at it that way, moving into a new apartment or a house can get ugly and stressful quickly. If not properly planned, your dream can easily turn into chaos.
Now if you are moving to Charlotte NC, I would be more than happy to provide you some tips that I’ve discovered to prevent chaos from ever stepping in with what should be a pleasant experience. If you are thinking whether I’ve learnt these through my own experience; my answer is – I won’t tell.
Call me old fashion but have a checklist
Moving to a new place brings out inexplicable emotion from excitement, thus we are at our most disrupted state. Every task needs to be laid out in writing with due dates if you can. These rules out the possibility of you forgetting things, unless of course you didn’t jot it down.
Start packing the ones more important such as documents and label them in bold letters. The sooner the better so you don’t get crammed when the date is only a few days away.
Take care of basic services and utilities
Make sure that before you get to the new place, basic services and utilities like electricity, water, internet, gas and phone are already working. The last thing you want is to not be connected when you’re at your most vulnerable because believe me, you’re going to have to make phone call as soon as you get settled.
You’ll be surprised just how many resources moving can take. Get lots of boxes in different sizes and colors if you can. Pens, newspapers, bubble wraps etc… will all come in handy when the day draws near.
Get help from the professionals
Chances are even with all tips I’ve given, you’re still going to leave something important. Make sure that you don’t do everything by yourself. Ask for help, and is there someone else who knows moving than the movers themselves. They probably do this every day, so be sure to ask them for more pointers.
Moving smoothly to Charlotte NC is what you want to do. I’ve been there and here are the ground work on what you will need to do. After a day or two, familiarize yourself with your location. Knowing where the grocery is, transportation and banks would further enhance your outlook on your new place.
Charlotte, being that it’s one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S has many glitz and glamour waiting to be found. Although the city is well known for the job market that is obvious during the day time, at night the city is also capable of putting up a whole new different face to greet the the pleasure seekers at that time of day.
During the day, when most of the population works and get them busy with the tasks that produce income for them, life seems to be spent away. Especially when you’re a young professional who has just started with his job not a good 5 years yet. These years are in fact considered some of the most crucial. It may not pale in comparison with the middle aged years which we have heard so much about.
I still remembered how my life was on this period. Work wasn’t exactly that tough since you’re still filled with energy. Once you get past the learning curve of your duties it becomes pretty much a breeze. After just a few months it feels like you get exhausted more with the lack of fun and excitement rather than the real work load. Like me, when you’re at this stage, this is probably the first time you’ll meet with repetitive work and boy I’m sure you’ll despise it. I know since it has taken me years to shave off that feeling. Not that it’s a terrible thing for anyone; it’s just that sometimes this feeling is what keeps us from being consistent; and so it’s in times like these that there is enough reason to find something which will jolt our senses every once in a while. Others from outside our circle should understand that we live during a time when we are barely out of the freshness of school and into the dull life of being a professional. I know this is the perfect time for an anecdote but I can’t think of any right now.
Having been living in Charlotte for several months now, I can safely say that this city has managed come up with the sparkle that the 20s something needs. Suite Charlotte NC is the city’s most exclusive nightclub. It is well known throughout and even outside the city for its great feel and powerhouse DJs which really are the top two reasons why we choose to go to a club.
- top of the line sound system and lighting
- exclusivity ambience since there is a dress which allows no sneakers inside
- world class amenities and service
- world renowned VIP section
Also, partying and dancing has never been so easy since each visit would be a delight if you’re selective of your music. Because of the superior artists embodied in the DJs that raises the floor with their music, one will be assured that music entertainment would not be a problem inside of the Suite!
A wedding is something that only happens once a lifetime. Countless movies have been done to create the allure of what magic transpires in a wedding. Some would say that they have dreamWedding Venues in Charlotte NCt of the moment all their life. Some would of course say otherwise. One thing is for sure though. It is an event that is kept on the highest regard by each of the couple involved in it. The demand from the public for their wedding to be kept in a certain standard has made the industry very much lucrative.
Couples always want their wedding to be one of a kind. And if you’re thinking that the brides make the most of the request, you’ll have to think again. To be honest since we are in the business of making things possible on a tight budget, I’m going to downplay right away the participation of the bride. The most who makes the usual request is the bride’s mom or the in laws. And their standards are often up and above the budget if you know what I mean.
Out of the many possibilities request a couple (or the in law) might have the aspect that is usually most demanding is where the wedding is going to be held. The venue is one of the most important factors that could make or break the entire ceremony. Imagine yourself attending a wedding that does not fit the social status of the guest. A wedding is supposed to be an entire package. You actually shouldn’t pay a firm who wouldn’t provide you all the necessities especially the most important one which the venue. What is the use of having the best food being served by a wonderful caterer if the place is not at par?
So if you’re thinking of choosing some of the wedding venues in Charlotte NC, here are some examples of what you should be looking for.
The most intimate restaurants. What does make a restaurant look ceremony; a live band perhaps; a lively reception because of the service; an exquisite selection of wine and champagne? Or is it the package of all of the things that we’ve just mentioned? Ultimately the restaurant should have all of these things in more than suitable standards where your guest can fell the night pass very slowly because of the enjoyment they get from all of the above.
A garden wedding is another venue gaining popularity in today’s generation. Contrary to what most people think a garden wedding venue should also boast indoor facilities to host the rest of the ceremonies. Often this is the aspect left out by the couple which in the end can lead to regret. We all know what a good garden should have. It should contain the complete enticing delicacy of the flora, greens and the ambiance. Other than that the indoor accommodation should at least have some projectors which the ceremony could use, appropriate lighting to fill the aura of the even and advisable some HDTVs to add to the glitz and glamour.
Moving is one tough choice to make. Choosing which neighborhood or what city to move into can arguably be tougher. It is a dilemma that one leads to the other. And the two are just the beginning; seeds if you will that would sprout too many branches of problems. All of which requires attention and research to be solved.
Employment is the aspect of living that we are all having problems with under this tough economic condition. The rate of people having sufficient income from their jobs is falling, not to mention the statistics concerned with people who have jobs at all. It seems that many of the important metrics of a nation is falling during a recession period such as this and it forces people to make tough decisions.
There was a period when Charlotte was known as a transportation hub and jobs centered on that. Of course in recent times, it has been a well-accepted that Charlotte is a city where the banking industry reigns supreme. And the jobs that industry has provided made it clear to America that the city is now one of the 10 fastest growing U.S. cities.
As we were talking about how employment is currently a huge influence of anyone’s decision making process when making a choice on where his next location to live may be, jobs in Charlotte NC have more than done their part on attracting talent. The population of the city has bulged through the recent years because of the many job opportunities.
Technology can also be attributed for the current influx of talented people in the city; besides what good is a job opening when no one about it. Online job posts are very easily identifiable and many have turned their gaze on the internet to see where their new destination would be. IT is every bit correct to use technology this way because its original vision anyway is to assist mankind on undertakings such as this.
If you are someone who is eyeing a career, Charlotte NC is a good place to be. There are plenty of sectors which are booming in growth. Obviously there is the banking sector which has matured enough that it has spurned enough growth to revitalize the whole city thus providing demands to a lot more other industries.
Here are some industries you can expect a career from in this city:
Banking – national and local banks have either called the city their home or have established a regional office in it.
Food and restaurant – there is never a shortage of places to eat here. Hence, employment of the food and restaurant sector is always open.
Real estate – as more people prefer more to move over to Charlotte, there is no better industry to take advantage than the business of helping people find their new homes or apartments.
Let’s face it, if you want to get something done you always want to do it yourself. People who are confident enough of themselves (like me) far too often charges at every tasks as a challenge. That is just how some people are hard wired. But recently, during an event photography in Charlotte; I’ve learned that having that mindset doesn’t always work on your advantage.
To paint a better picture, I’m going to tell you something about myself; since I’ve already stated that this post has something to do with a fairly typical human reaction. And yes, having a difficult time trusting a task to another soul is a reaction. In no way or form would I agree that having this in someone’s personality is a deficiency. Although there are some “psychotic gist” err, ‘psychologists that deems it as so. I refuse to allow others on treating this personality that I have of something close to a disease or sickness. There will never be a time where I will not be willing to get into a debate about why I choose to take most of the responsibilities even when sometimes tasked with a team.
Photography is a precision business. Although it might have sprung out from hobbyist, the techniques and studies of all photographers that came and went is enough to fill a humongous library. There is now enough knowledge, technique and history in photography for it to create another branch of science. That is why the once hobby is now a full time profession. It is a career where the clients can easily decipher which photographer is the season one and which are the beginners based on their works’ results (and not on the paycheck they will request).
A professional photographer is someone who has spent much of his time perfecting the meticulous demands of the business. One of the most challenging thing as a potential client is to choose who should cover such important events of your life. The number of phony would-be photographers who are posing as professionals out there is enough to get someone who doesn’t have much patience to lose it faster. But somehow as a person who has a valid reason to hire a professional, somehow you have got to find a way a longer piece of string as patience to come out of your event as a happy camper. I learned this the hard way. As I’m sure you have already imagined; this semi rant post is about the moral lesson a person learnt by committing a mistake.
I did come out a smarter person because of the experience. I did learned, (although it was too late) that in order to figure out the professional from the who’s not you got to have the patience to browse at a prospect’s portfolio. It may sound silly to you, but a lot of people forget to turn on their computer and check if the claim of someone has some truth into it online. A professional should always have his work displayed online. That is already a well-accepted fact.
Famously nicknamed as the “Queen City”, Charlotte, North Carolina was named after the wife of King George III. This was during the time when the city was still occupied by the British command as one of United Kingdom’s colony. The city has become such an established financial center of the United States, and when based on assets of all the banks that call the city their headquarters, Charlotte only trails to New York in terms of being the home of some of the largest banks. The city’s skyline have benefitted immensely from the boom of the financial institution situated within the metropolitan. It has spurred countless other businesses because as we all know bank is the primary cultivators of commerce. The growth in the city’s banking institution sector also gave way too many other industries relocating to Charlotte because of the financial opportunities continuously rising in the city. There are even fortune 500 companies that came with these waves of financial growth which the city’s population has certainly enjoyed.
As the industries are thriving with their business, career opportunities are of course brought to the scene. Charlotte Jobs multiply each day that passes those businesses still sees this city having a large number of opportunities. Having these waves of companies coming over and introducing new business for the city is always going to be a winning situation for the population, as this will inevitably create more Charlotte jobs for everyone to have a decent source of living. Having enough inflow of business thus presenting people with occupation and people coming from across the United States to seek opportunities in a city that has got a lot of momentum are two factors which are always nice to balance between your hands.

A photographer usually starts his journey towards making his hobby into a full blown career with small events. Event photography Charlotte NC is a wonderful business to be involved in this vibrant city. There are so many corners in the city of Charlotte good enough to be in anyone’s wallpaper.
Events hosted by relatives and friends usually are the first testing grounds for any would be photographer. In this exciting time when the technology is now able to finally catch up with the talent growth of people, there is always something to learn on this business. A good photographer always wants to be on top of his game. He is forced to feel this way because of his commitment to provide the best possible quality of photographs to his clients. And so if you meet any photographer who says they have already reached the pinnacle of what they do and that they have stopped learning. It’s time to stop looking at their brochure and walk away. The industry that they are in dictates perpetual learning and they should be the first to know that by heart.
There is more to photography than just buying the most expensive camera with the most megapixels. Here are some tips from experience that should help you to get the most out of events especially the most important ones.
A great photo is 50% preparation
Visualizing and knowing what shots you’re going to take even before you get to an event isn’t overkill. It’s how the pros do it. Think about it, the kiss at the end of the ceremony lasts only a second on some weddings but its one thing you should not miss, because if you do you’re probably going to miss the paycheck too. Knowing what you want before it happens in front of you ensures that you get that cover off your lens before something important happens.
Pack the right lenses
Since you’ve already marched on the event venue the day before (because you’ve come prepared right?) you should have an idea what kind of lenses you will bring with you. This means that you have an idea where you’ll be at for a photo and the distance from the subject. Also you’ll be able to plan the lighting.
Add a drop of story on every image
The event you’ll be covering is important for at least several people. An event is something old over and over again by those who hosted it to their friends and relatives. AS a photographer you want you pictures to back up those stories they’re going to tell.
Don’t be afraid to get closer
Have you ever noticed that in sports events it’s the photographers that the athletes often crash to? It’s because if you want to be like a pro, you have to act like them. Learning their ways and how they want to be as close to the action as possible means that you should do the same. Its how they are able to deliver those incredible shots we see everywhere. Get close and personal. Stand your ground.
Oh how I love the Queen City. It’s characteristically historic flavor brought about by vintage factories and streetcar suburbs mixed with a dash of the now up beat urban living. There are condos; high rise building and an art’s districts all combined with the history that is unique makes the neighborhood of Charlotte diverse in nature.
The city is now home to some of the county’s biggest bank. We all know of bank of America and the previously named Wachovia now acquired by Wells Fargo which still maintains Charlotte as its headquarters in the east coast. It is the biggest city in the state of North Carolina of the U.S. It is consistently ranked among the top financial center in the U.S. and is now only second to New York in terms of how much the banking sector makes up for a city’s economy.
Real Estate firms also are very visible in Charlotte and one would find the task of looking for a home in the city is a breeze. One can easily locate houses and lots for sale, businesses spaces for lease should also be part of the offer sheets of most of the real estate agents you will come across with in the city. Rentals in Charlotte NC are also a booming option especially since the growth of careers of the young professionals. The generation of today always wants to be just a stone throw away from where they make their living and the working classes living in Charlotte are no different. This allows them to almost neglect the hassle brought about by transportation and the ability to run about in the same city after a day’s work is another perk of staying in a rental.
After having said all that, this brings us back to the classic question of what is the best setup of living when you’re working. Is it better to grab a house right away once you get the chance or do you settle for a rental first?
For me the answer should be whatever makes you more productive.
Let me give you an example. I hate drinking coffee. We all know that excessive amounts of caffeine a day does more harm to the body than good (more than a cup of coffee a day can already be considered as excessive). We have all read articles and heard countless stories about if it doesn’t affect you right away, it will eventually take its toll later on with life. Substances like caffeine should always be controlled daily. That is why every day; I make a choice whether I should take coffee during working hours even though I’m not so fond of it. There is another thing that happens in the office that I hate just as well though. It’s the sound of my head hitting my desk. The sound is distracting me away from the focus I had with the job plus it hurts a little.
The bottom line is, whatever decision you make, should be for the goal of easing your work even for just a little. So it depends.
