Charlotte was named for King George III of England’s wife Queen Charlotte thus the nickname of the Queen City. We have taken the nickname of the Queen City with pride and for that reason each of the buildings in Uptown Charlotte boasts their own unique crown.
The Charlotte Special Events Group is a one of a kind destination management company that can facilitate any and every aspect of your stay. We are a women-owned business with decades of experience in event planning. We are the only company in Charlotte with previous experience working with the DNC. During the 1992 DNC in New York City, Peter Cuocolo, then president of White Glove Affairs, worked on several events for many state delegations, including Iowa, Delaware, New York and New Jersey.
