For all the working individuals weekends are the time to unwind. It is always the time of the week when you’re supposed to do your best to take off the entire load you’ve managed to compile on your back during the working week. It doesn’t matter what field of work you are involved in, the question really is what the things you enjoy most doing are. I know this question is fun and lightly (probably why fun is overlooked nowadays by people too focused on that career ladder); but winding down during the weekend should be taken with a serious thought. Think about it, you’ve been working the whole week. You’re body has been accumulating all these stresses that surround your work place and not to mention how many brain cells you’re killing each day with all the repetitive, uninspired thinking you’ve been doing at work. That in fact is the real issue here, finding some fun so your brain cells don’t just wither away and leave you after you’ve reached that topmost part of the ladder you’ve been dreaming of all these years.
Okay so let’s get into perspective. The work week is 5 days and all of us are just given 2 days for a weekend. Of course we’re only just going to use 1 day because we don’t want to die before we’ve reached 50. We take 1 day to do all the fun things that we ought to do and the other day should be reserved for rest and slumbering. Now it’s time to determine what the Charlotte NC weekend events are which would fit for you. It could be with your family, friends or what have you. The idea is you take anyone who is bringing more joy to your heart to maximize that single day we have in this great city of ours.

Taking the kids to a zoo – if you’re a family guy like me you should know that zoos can knock off boredom out of kids in no time. And when they are happy, we are happy. It’s a good way to spend time with the family because it’s like hitting two birds with one stone. You get to fulfill what the weekend is supposed to be like for you plus the kids will be having fun too!

If someone wants to have some fun, he better know where are the venues this things are more likely to happen. Mapping out the city for hotspots are supposed to be done weeks from the actual date of your travel, but if somehow it never occurred to you the internet can still help you out. Here are some of the venues that are usually kept on the itineraries of your fellow travellers.
- Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre – is tagged as the city of Charlotte’s main hall for music. When someone needs to have his fix of great performance and be entertained looking up the schedule of events on this venue might lead you to what you are looking for. It’s originally named Blockbuster Pavilion and has opened its doors for anyone who plans to be entertained since 1991. Live nation, one of the country’s leading brands when it comes to entertainment manages Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Some of the world’s rock band icons have gazed the floor of this venue such as Journey and Aerosmith to name a few.
- Time Warner Cable Arena – you probably know this place for its NBA team tenant, the Charlotte bobcats. I’m not here to write a sports review but I’m sure that the bobcats are not exactly at the top of your viewing list (just a guess). It also features AHL’s Charlotte Checkers. Either of the two, what’s obvious is if you’re a sports buff, then it is best to bookmark the schedule of events on this venue. It offers great entertainment from the competitions that are hosted here most days of the year. The arena opened its doors to the public in 2005 and since it’s still comparably new, it boasts state-of-the-art technology which only adds to the experience of every event. Its huge capacity also adds another dimension to events hosted here as the sheer number of people that can be present in an event can be colossal and again adds to the experience. Justin Bieber, U2, The Rolling Stones and Miley Cyrus are just some of the names that have made a performance here.
- Bank of America Stadium – this venue is located uptown of Charlotte. For NFL fans, it has been the home of Charlotte’s football team the Carolina Panthers. It was built in 1996 and despite its age, it still fairs well in terms of technology and modern design. During its time, it was built with the technology not introduced yet with large venues so not surprisingly it can still hold its own against some of the stadiums and arenas built much later.
Choosing a venue to maximize a depleting time is always on the mind of most people. The question of what to do never fails to pollute the mind of a traveler. And hotspots venues like this can ease that problem.
